About the Course

Helping Young People Find Their Voice is a practical 45-minute online training designed for anyone who works with or supports young people. Young people may communicate difficult experiences through silence, withdrawal, anger, changes in behaviour or risk-taking. This course helps adults look beyond behaviour and understand the emotions, experiences and needs that may be underneath. Through real-life stories, reflection activities and practical communication techniques, learners will explore how to create safe conversations around bullying, grooming, peer pressure, loneliness, online relationships and belonging. The course focuses on building trust, listening without judgement and responding appropriately when a young person chooses to share something difficult.
